I will never ever not love Clash of the Titans. It is just an essential part of my DNA! Lucky for me…I think it holds up. I won’t hear a negative word about the incredible stop-motion effects from Ray Harryhausen. Bubo is less annoying than you might think—not really annoying at all, really! Medusa remains a misunderstood, tragic queen. The Stygian Witches are aspirational. Everything is so cool (PS, I hope you didn’t do a shot every time I said something in this movie was “cool,” because if so then you are probably reading this in the afterlife.) I can totally see why Claire Bloom (and probably most of the cast, tbh) was like…well, it’s a short gig so I’ll do it…but regardless, it’s a truly beloved film. Beloved by me, anyway. And I have a podcast, so you know that my opinion really matters!
